Rank
Rules Ranking is based on: the last European Individual Championships (Cognac, 2019) and the 4 Circuit events.
Fencers are not expected to do every competition but they are expected to attend a minimum number to accumulate points:
- For the 2020 European Fencer of the year starting in 2019, ranking is based on the best 2 results from a possible total of 5: EVF Championships and the 4 circuit events in the coming year
- For the 2021 European Fencer of the year starting in 2020 and beyond, ranking is based on the best four 4 results from a possible total of 9: the EVF Championships and 2 years worth of circuit events. Rankings will be calculated from results within the last 2 years of competition
Results older than two years will expire.
The European Fencer of the Year is the fencer with the highest ranking on 1 May of that year.
